Tres años de guerra entre Rusia y Ucrania, y el cambio de poder en el gobierno de Estado Unidos, representan nuevas posibilidades para el presidente ruso Vladimir Putin.  

Vladimir Putin, el presidente de Rusia, generó revuelo al anunciar el nacimiento de un nuevo orden mundial, dos días después de que Trump ganara las elecciones presidenciales. La resistencia militar, millones de refugiados y miles de muertos, sumado a esto el temor de una retirada de las fuerzas estadounidenses, debido a la postura del presidente Trump, implica para Ucrania una situación cada vez más desesperada.

Rusia se prepara para la guerra  

El 11 de noviembre de 2021, el entonces Secretario de Estado estadounidense Antony Blinken, envío una advertencia a Putin sobre la invasión a Ucrania, a pesar de eso el presidente ruso no dejó que lo detuviera y ordenó la invasión de Ucrania.

Comienzan los ataques entre Rusia y Ucrania

El ataque militar ruso inicia el 24 de febrero de 2022, cuando las ciudades de Kiev, Odesa y Jarkiv son bombardeadas por misiles, y uno de los principales edificios militares de la capital ucraniana es incendiado. De esta forma, comienza una de las guerras actuales más criticas a nivel global. 

Tras semanas de combate, el ejército ucraniano logró expulsar a las tropas rusas de las ciudades del norte y noroeste del país. El plan inicial de Rusia era rodear a Kiev, sellando cualquier vía de escape de la cuidad, pero el plan fracasó. 

En este lapso de tiempo, se dieron a conocer las atrocidades cometidas por los soldados rusos en contra de los civiles ucranianos, escudándose con el pretexto “la liberación de los territorios”, civiles asesinados y torturados en las inmediaciones de Kiev (Bucha) fueron virales en todo el mundo. 

Los planes del Kremlin 

Los planes de Moscú, en un inicio, era que la invasión solo duraría 3 días y luego celebrar la victoria. Irónicamente, aquellos 3 días se han convertido en tres años, tiempo en que cientos de personas han sido desplazadas, asesinadas y torturadas. Según datos del Instituto para el Estudio de la Guerra, el Kremlin controla el 20% del territorio ucraniano al este del país. 

Las regiones invadidas son Donetsk, Lugansk, Jersón y Zaporiyia, mismas que ahora son anexadas al territorio de Rusia en 2022. Un año después, en septiembre de 2023, Moscú realiza elecciones en estas regiones. Para sorpresa, el partido Rusia Unida fue victorioso en todas las regiones donde se hizo la farsa electoral.

Como consecuencia de la guerra, hay millones de refugiados en Europa, la ACNUR estima que hay 3,7 millones de desplazados internos en Ucrania, mientras que 6 millones han huido de Ucrania, la mayoría refugiándose en Polonia y Alemania. Estas cifras no se habían visto desde la Segunda Guerra Mundial. 

La resistencia ucraniana 

Mariúpol es la ciudad meriodional ucraniana. El asedio de ests territorio duró 82 días desde el comienzo de la guerra, siendo bombardeada intensamente. Los últimos defensores ucranianos resistieron en la acería de Azovtal, el Puente de Crimea con 19 kilómetros de longitud, es el más largo de Europa, fue estropeado gravemente por las explosiones y bombardeos en octubre de 2022,  transformándose en un puente parcialmente transitable. En julio de 2023, vuelve a ser destruido tras un segundo ataque, y es así que, el ministro de Defensa ucraniano  a el servicio secreto de ucrania admite que fue obra de ellos. 

Consecuencias de la guerra Rusia y Ucrania

El 6 de junio de 2023, la presa de Kajovka, en el río de Dnipro, fue destruida. Ambos países, Rusia y Ucrania, se culparon mutuamente, aunque el embalse se encontraba bajo control ruso en ese momento. Las consecuencias se visibilizaron en inundaciones masivas y miles de personas resultaron afectadas. 

Los ataques rusos también iban dirigidos contra la infraestructura energética, En junio de 2024, el ministro de Energía ucraniano anunció que el 80% de las centrales térmicas han sido atacadas para esa fecha. Los resultados fueron grandes cortes de electricidad y el empeoramiento de la situación humanitaria, agravando la situación en invierno. 

En agosto del año pasado, la resistencia ucraniana lanzó por primera vez una ofensiva sobre territorio ruso. En un inicio ganando terreno de 1.400 kilómetros cuadrados en Kursk; actualmente han perdido dos tercios del territorio ocupado. El uso de drones y aviones no tripulados  se convirtió en un eje central de la guerra. Ambos bandos usan vehículos aéreos no tripulados para la vigilancia, pero también para ataques. 

La situación es distinta donde los problemas no son visibles a primera vista. La vida continúa, los negocios siguen abiertos y los ucranianos enfrentan la crisis energética con generadores propios.
